Our association with the children of Alyn Hospital in Jerusalem goes back more than 25 years.
Our drive is to help fund the ALYN Children’s Hospital and thinking of new ways for fundraising.
· It started with Vera being the treasurer of the Dutch Friends of Alyn hospital.
· From 2008 Vera and I have been participating 10 times in the annual ALYN Wheels of Love bike ride in Israel. With pleasure we look back to have initiated, the participation of the Dutch delegation, participating in the bike ride.
· This time we want to draw your attention to ALYNnovation. An initiative, we helped to establish, as an idea to create additional revenues to monetize Alyn ‘s unique know-how and pair it to the digital age.
ALYN’s innovation hub, brings together medical specialists, top innovators and entrepreneurs to develop products and technologies that will assist children with a wide range of physical disabilities. The world’s most cutting-edge technologies, such as AR/VR,loT, 3D Printing, Mobile Apps. Gesture Recognition, Eye Tracking, Biomechanics, Sensors and Remote Treatment, are used to develop innovative solutions that will give children with disabilities the opportunity to realize their full potential.
Covid had placed restrictions on person-to-person therapy. During this period ALYNHospital started research and development on finding the most effective remote therapies for rehabilitation. It has made great progress since and is using Zoom and other applications that are developed by Israeli startups.
This online approach puts Alyn in the forefront of remote patientcare by innovation and helps start-ups to become successful. A win-win for both and new income for Alyn.
This year Mark is celebrating his 75th Birthday and we thought it would be appropriate to ask our family and friends to Mark the special occasion, with a donation.
