“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)
I interpret his insightful quote that the purpose of life is to make others happy. Simchat Chaim!
Alyn is Israel’s only pediatric and adolescent rehabilitation hospital.
Alyn improves the lives of countless kids, using ingenuity, perseverance, and lots of love.
I am privileged to ride with the “Swift & the Bold” kids of Alyn every Monday afternoon.
Witnessing their determination and sharing their smiles… that is “happiness”.
Yes, you are making a difference. You are helping a child move a muscle, move a limb, ride a bike, climb “Mt. Everest”.
This is my 18th year riding for Alyn. Thank you for the umpteenth time.
Every year I am inspired, energized, and can’t wait for the next year’s ride.
Thank you for giving “Simchat Chaim” to the kids of Alyn.
